Our 2025 August Blog: Success, Songs & Strong Connections
Welcome to our August Blog recap at Reedsburg Country Club and the 1924 Bar & Grill! As summer began its late-season stretch, August was nothing short of vibrant. From private celebrations and golf tournaments to unforgettable live music and exciting new bookings, RCC continued to shine as the place where members, guests, and our community come together.
In this August Blog, we’re highlighting everything that made the month special while giving you a peek at what’s coming in September. Whether you’re a long-time member or just discovering what RCC has to offer, August was a month worth celebrating.
Private Parties, Weddings & Club Growth
August was a month of milestones at RCC. We were honored to host 15 private parties and banquets, bringing together families, friends, and colleagues in our event spaces. Each gathering was a reminder of why RCC is more than just a golf club—it’s a community hub where connections are made and memories are celebrated.
We also hosted 13 Member and Public Golf Outings & Tournaments, highlighting the strength of our golf community. And the momentum for weddings continues—this August, we secured another booking for 2026, bringing us to 4 weddings already scheduled for the 2026 season. It’s inspiring to see couples choose RCC for their special day, thanks to our beautiful spaces and the care our team provides.
Member Favorites: Trivia, Cards & Music
Thursday Night Pub Trivia stayed strong in August, drawing familiar faces and new teams each week. Trivia nights have become a midweek tradition, blending fun, food, and a little competition at the 1924 Bar & Grill.
Our Card Tournament Sundays also continued with great success—Single Deck Euchre on the first Sunday, Double Deck Euchre on the second, and Sheepshead on the third. Each tournament brought a lively mix of strategy and laughter, proving just how much our members enjoy these gatherings.
One of August’s biggest highlights was our first-ever Dueling Pianos on the Patio with Twilight Tunes on August 2nd. This ticketed show was a huge hit, selling out and welcoming over 60 guests and members to the patio. With incredible energy and music, it was a performance that set the bar high for future entertainment at RCC.
And to keep the music going, we welcomed Dave Miotke and Robert McNurlen to our patio on August 23rd and 30th for two fantastic evenings of live music. These free-to-attend events filled the patio with laughter, music, and community spirit.
Looking Ahead to September
August’s success has us excited for everything September will bring. Here’s a taste of what’s on the calendar:
- Live Music on the Patio – Matthew Schmidt (Sept. 13), Julie Bodendein (Sept. 20), Tom Burr (Sept. 30)
- Pub Trivia – Every Thursday at 6:30 PM
- Sunday Card Tournaments – Euchre & Sheepshead rotations continue
- New Menu Specials – From Fish Fry Fridays to Prime Rib Saturdays, plus weekly drink specials
- Football Season Specials – The 1924 Bar & Grill is the perfect spot to enjoy the games this fall
