Reedsburg Country Club’s Trunk-O-treat And Chili Cook-Off
Join us on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the annual Trunk-O-Treat and Chili Cook-Off at Reedsburg Country Club! This safe, family-friendly fall event has something for everyone: free Trunk-O-Treating, free Halloween-themed games, free festive music, and a free Costume Contest with fun prizes. Plus, enjoy cozy fires, hot cocoa, and apple cider for purchase, as well as our competitive Chili Cook-Off, where guests can sample and vote for the best chili in town for just $3 per person.
Want to cook instead of tasting? Chili Cook-Off registration is open to members and the public—bring your best recipe and compete for cash prizes and bragging rights as one of our top three winners!
We’re also inviting local businesses and RCC members to partner with us by decorating a golf cart for free to hand out candy and promote their business during the Trunk-O-Treat. It’s a fantastic way to showcase your business, connect with the community, and be part of this beloved fall tradition.

Event Schedule – Sunday, October 26, 2025:
–1:00 PM: Trunk-O-Treat on the Range begins
–1:00 PM: Chili Cook-Off tasting opens on the patio
–3:30 PM: Chili voting closes
–4:00 PM: Chili Cook-Off winners announced & Trunk-O-Treating ends
–Costume Contest Winners: Voted on via social media following the event
Trunk-O-Treat on the Range
Our Trunk-O-Treat at Reedsburg Country Club is free and open to the public! Families are encouraged to bring the kids in costume for candy, games, and a costume contest. Guests are also invited to bring a non-perishable food item to support our local food pantry.
Guests can join the fun by purchasing a $3 wristband to sample 10–15 different chilies and vote for their favorites, splitting their $3 among their top three choices.
Local businesses and Reedsburg Country Club members can participate for free by decorating a golf cart and handing out candy. It’s a great way to showcase your business, connect with the community, and join in the Halloween spirit!

Activities include:
-FREE Trick-or-treating on the driving range
-FREE Halloween games and music for all ages
-Hot cocoa, and apple cider for sale
-Costume contest with winners announced on social media the following week
-$3 Chili Tasting & Voting: For just $3 per person, you’ll receive a wristband to sample 10–15 different chili recipes and cast your votes for the winners. Each taster gets three $1 votes to distribute however they choose—place all $3 on one chili, split $2 on one and $1 on another, or vote for three different chilis. The only rule: no more than $3 can go into any single chili’s voting cup per person. This keeps the contest fair and ensures votes reflect quality and taste—not popularity.
Costume Contest Details:
Participants must have their photo taken in front of the Halloween Photo Booth and submit it via Facebook Messenger to Reedsburg Country Club by Monday, October 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM, including the participant’s name, age, and costume title. By sending your photo, you grant permission for it to be posted on our social media platforms for voting and future marketing purposes. Voting will take place the week following the event, with one winner selected in each category—Ages 5–10, Ages 12–18, and Family—based on the total votes received. Winners will be announced the following Sunday. Be sure to like and follow our social media pages so you can share your photo and increase your chances of winning!

Sponsor & Decorate a Golf Cart
Local businesses and Reedsburg Country Club members can have fun and participate in the Trunk-O-Treat and Chili Cook-Off at Reedsburg Country Club by sponsoring and decorating a golf cart. It’s the perfect opportunity to promote your business, give back to the community, and join in on the Halloween festivities!
Golf Cart Sponsorship & Decorating Details:
–Cost: Free for businesses and members
–What We Provide: A golf cart for your business or family to decorate
–What You Provide: Halloween decorations, candy, games or treats for the kids, and any promotional materials for your business (banners, signage, flyers, etc.)
–Set-Up Time: 12:00 PM on the driving range (event runs from 1:00–4:00 PM)
Chili Cook-Off on the Patio
The Trunk-O-Treat and Chili Cook-Off at Reedsburg Country Club is the ultimate fall food competition! Register as a Chili Cooker for $20 and have a chance to win over $200 in entry fees alone!
Or become a taster and judge, by sampling delicious homemade chili from 10–15 contestants and voting for your favorites with a $3 tasting wristband.
Winners of the Chili Cook-Off at Reedsburg Country Club will be announced at the end of the event, with tasting and voting taking place from 1:00 to 3:30 PM.
Chili Cook-Off Details:
–Entry Fee for Cooks: $20
–Prizes: 1st Place $200 • 2nd Place $75 • 3rd Place $25
-How to Win: Each voter pays $3 to taste and vote, splitting their three $1 votes among their top three chilis—winners are determined by total dollars earned.
–Public Tasting: $3 wristband includes samples of all chili entries and voting rights
–Requirements for Cooks:
- Make at least 2 gallons of chili
- 2-oz tasting cups provided
- Toppings allowed
- Participants keep the money collected in their voting cups
–Registration:
- Members-Only: October 12–18
- Public Registration: October 19–25 (if spots remain)
–Cap: 10–15 participants maximum
