Miles for Myles Fundraiser Raises $10,000 for First Tee
At Reedsburg Country Club, we believe that the power of sport goes beyond the game. Golf teaches confidence, respect, integrity, and resilience — values that shape young lives on and off the course. This summer, our community came together to support this mission through the Miles for Myles Fundraiser, raising a remarkable $10,000 for the First Tee of South Central Wisconsin youth golf program.
This wasn’t just a fundraiser — it was a celebration of community, legacy, and giving back.
A Mission with Heart: The Story Behind Miles for Myles
The Miles for Myles Fundraiser was inspired by Myles Noble and his family — a devoted group whose passion for both youth sports and Reedsburg Country Club helped turn this event into something truly special. Their initiative and enthusiasm raised $3,000, adding significantly to the overall success of the event.
This local family-led effort sparked a movement, encouraging our members, local supporters, and community leaders to come together for a meaningful cause. Through ticket sales, donations, and community engagement, we raised an additional $2,000, totaling $5,000 in donations before matching funds were applied.
Doubling the Impact: The Carrigs’ Matching Contribution
Reedsburg Country Club would like to extend deep gratitude to Don and Barbara Carrig, who matched the $5,000 raised — bringing the final total to $10,000. The Carrigs have long supported RCC and continue to champion programs that benefit youth and families across the Sauk County region.
Their generosity ensures that First Tee at RCC will continue to thrive, expand, and reach even more young people in the Reedsburg area. With these funds, we can continue to provide access to golf for all children, regardless of income or experience level.
What is the First Tee of South Central Wisconsin?
First Tee is more than just a youth golf program. It’s a movement. Designed to develop character through the game of golf, First Tee combines professional instruction with lessons that build values, leadership, and personal growth.
Reedsburg Country Club joined the First Tee of South Central Wisconsin eight years ago to revamp and reinvigorate our youth golf programming. Since then, the number of young golfers served has doubled, with over 140 active participants involved today.
Thanks to programs like First Tee and fundraisers like Miles for Myles, we are able to:
- Provide affordable access to golf equipment
- Hire additional certified coaches and mentors
- Offer scholarships for underserved families
- Host educational and community-building events
- Maintain inclusivity and accessibility for all area youth
How Your Support Helps: Real Results at RCC
Every dollar raised from the Miles for Myles Fundraiser goes directly back into our First Tee program right here at Reedsburg Country Club. We’ve already begun using funds to upgrade junior golf equipment, recruit summer coaching staff, and plan additional instructional clinics that will help students elevate their skills and confidence on the course.
What makes First Tee so unique is its dual purpose: helping kids become better golfers and better people. It’s not just about the game — it’s about personal growth, mentorship, and the lifelong benefits that come from being part of a supportive community.
Looking Ahead: Celebrating 100 Years and Investing in the Next Generation
As RCC celebrates our 100th anniversary, there’s no better way to honor our legacy than by investing in its future. Supporting our youth through First Tee — and events like the Miles for Myles Fundraiser — ensures that golf remains a part of the Reedsburg story for generations to come.
This centennial year has brought so many moments of joy, reflection, and growth. Seeing families and members rally behind this cause has been one of the most inspiring parts of our celebration. We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
