Spooky Fun and Friendly Competition | 2024 October Blog
October at Reedsburg Country Club was packed with festive energy, cozy fall vibes, and just the right amount of spooky fun. From costumed trivia teams to candy-filled carts, this 2024 October blog highlights all the ways we brought our community together for a month full of celebration, connection, and friendly competition.
As the leaves turned and temperatures dropped, RCC stayed warm with laughter, themed events, and the giving spirit of our members and guests. Let’s take a closer look at the October highlights that made this season one to remember.
Trunk-or-Treat on October 27
We kicked off Halloween weekend with one of our most heartwarming and fun-filled events of the month: Trunk-or-Treat at RCC. Held on the driving range under glowing fall skies, the event welcomed more than 150 guests for an evening of candy, creativity, and community spirit.
Twelve golf carts — transformed into spooky, silly, and downright impressive Halloween “trunks” — lined the range, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, RCC members, and volunteers. Kids dressed as superheroes, witches, animals, and pumpkins made their way from cart to cart, collecting treats and playing games. Parents joined in on the fun, wearing their own costumes while enjoying warm fall drinks and seasonal music.
The event wasn’t just about the candy and costumes — it was also about giving back. In the spirit of the season, we invited attendees to bring non-perishable food donations to support the local food pantry, and the turnout was incredible. This meaningful contribution helped ensure that the joy of the season extended beyond the event, making it a standout in this 2024 October blog.
From themed games to pumpkin-decorated carts, Trunk-or-Treat reminded us that Halloween isn’t just for kids — it’s about community, creativity, and coming together.
Halloween Trivia & Costume Contest – October 31
We closed out the month with a bang at our Halloween-themed Pub Trivia Night on October 31, held inside 1924 Bar & Grill. Guests came ready to play — and dressed to impress. From spooky ghosts to hilarious pop culture icons, the costume creativity on display was next-level.
Teams gathered for a competitive night of trivia, with rounds focused on Halloween history, horror films, spooky music, and fall traditions. But trivia wasn’t the only thing on the line — we also hosted a costume contest that had everyone voting for the funniest, scariest, and most original looks of the night.
It was a lively evening filled with:
- Creative team costumes and themed table décor
- Delicious fall-inspired cocktails and appetizers from 1924 Bar & Grill
- Prizes for trivia winners and costume contest champions
- Lots of laughter, playful banter, and unforgettable moments
This event added a perfectly festive finale to the month and earned its place as a favorite in our 2024 October blog.
